FAQ

Her finner du svar på de vanligste spørsmålene om Flexit-produkter og brukerstøtte
installation

How should technical rooms and service areas for ventilation systems be designed?

Technical rooms and installation areas must be designed with sufficient space for the ventilation equipment calculated and specified for the building. There must be good accessibility for installation, commissioning, service and maintenance. In addition, noise conditions must be considered, so that construction, placement and any noise-reducing measures help limit sound transmission to adjacent rooms and occupied areas.

fire safety

How is fire safety ensured in ventilation systems?

Fire safety in ventilation systems is ensured by limiting the spread of fire and smoke through the duct network. In most projects, the “containment” principle is used, where ventilation ducts are equipped with fire dampers and/or fire insulation when passing through fire-separating constructions. The chosen solution depends on the building’s fire strategy, the ventilation design and applicable regulations. The final solution must always be designed in close cooperation with the responsible fire safety consultant.

complaint

How do I report a product defect to Flexit?

Complaints are always made to the place where you purchased the product. The retailer handles the case further and contacts Flexit if necessary. If you need more information on how complaints are processed, you can find guidance and contact options on Flexit's website.

service

How are reliable operation and easy service ensured for a Flexit ventilation system?

Reliable operation and easy servicing are ensured by following the instructions in the system’s operation and maintenance documentation. The most important factors are that the ventilation system is installed correctly in accordance with the design documentation and installation instructions, and that filters are replaced according to Flexit’s recommended intervals. Correct installation and regular filter replacement contribute to stable operation, good air quality and a long service life for the system.

guidance

Where can I find information on how my product should be maintained?

Information on how to maintain your product can be found in the user manual for the specific product. All Flexit user manuals are available on our website and provide clear guidance on correct operation and maintenance.

unit

Where can I find the serial number on my ventilation unit?

The serial number can be found on a label inside the ventilation unit. The serial number consists of two rows of digits and is unique to your unit.

indoor climate control

Where can EcoNordic be installed?

EcoNordic should be installed in a room without requirements for low noise levels and with access to a floor drain. The unit is therefore best suited for installation in a technical room. This ensures safe handling of condensate, reliable operation and good accessibility for service and maintenance.

indoor climate control

How far away from power cables should the control cables for the control panel be installed?

Control cables for the control panel must be installed with a minimum distance of 30 cm from power cables. This requirement applies to Flexit ventilation units as well as the EcoNordic indoor climate unit. Correct cable separation helps ensure safe operation and reduces the risk of signal interference.

spare parts

How long does Flexit provide spare parts for the products you supply?

Flexit’s spare parts policy states that spare parts shall be available for a minimum of 10 years. In practice, we often have spare parts available for products that are significantly older than this. The goal is to ensure predictable operation, easier service, and longer product lifespan. Updated and more detailed information about spare parts is available on our website.

central exhaust

How often should the fan motor in a central exhaust system be cleaned?

The fan motor in a central exhaust system should be cleaned at least once a year. Regular cleaning helps ensure correct airflow, reduces wear on the motor, and prevents noise and operational issues over time.
